Escape to Shelter Island

The pool is seasonal and typically open from late May through mid-September; it is not heated. The home has three king bedrooms plus a bunk room, comfortably accommodating up to eight guests. Shelter Island is reached by a short ferry ride from either Greenport or North Haven, and having a car is recommended for exploring the island and surrounding area. The house is a private family home in a quiet residential setting, so we ask guests to enjoy it with care. The best part of staying here is slowing down to island time: mornings by the pool, afternoons at the beach or exploring the island, and evenings cooking, grilling and relaxing at home.

We want you to settle in and enjoy the house as your own. We just ask that you treat our home, property and neighbors with care. Maximum 8 overnight guests. The home is designed for families and small groups, not parties or events. No parties or events without prior approval. Please respect our neighbors. Keep outdoor noise to a reasonable level, particularly in the evening. No smoking or vaping inside the house. Pool use is at your own risk. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. No glass in the pool area. Trampoline use requires a signed waiver. Guests who have not completed the waiver may not use the trampoline. Children must be supervised by an adult. Pets only with prior approval. Registered guests only unless otherwise agreed in advance. No commercial photography or filming without prior written approval. Check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Most importantly, relax and enjoy Shelter Island. We want our home to feel like your home while you're here.
